CUBO is the first Slovenian restaurant that published a cookbook and the only one that published two. The books "CUBO desserts" and "CUBO home" that were published in Slovene and English, both received numerous prestigeous international awards in the past years.

"CUBO desserts" has received the awar for the best made book in Slovenia in 2007 (the book was printed by Gorenjski tisk).

On the 37th Creativity Awards (2700 works from 37 countries competed) in New York, the book won in category Book design and was awarded the highest price - Platinum award.

The most valued proffesional awards for cookbooks are those by Gourmand World Cookbook. The book "CUBO desserts" won the "Best Desserts Cookbook Award" in London in 2008.

The book "CUBO home" competed on the same competition in 2010. Even before the main competition, the book received a huge honour. It was competing to enter the finals in four categories: for best chef's cookbook, for best photography, for best technical execution and for the best among all cookbooks. The latter nomination is particularly important since the jury only selected nine books among thousands that applied.

The book "CUBO home" entered the finals in two categories, an achievement that very few books make. In the category "Best Chef's Book in the World" the book won the second place. The only book ahead of it was a book by one of the most famous Spanish chefs, M. Arzak, who has been holdin three Michelin stars for many years (family tradition is continued by his daughter; her restaurant also has three stars). Books by famous German and British chefs (togehter, they hold six Michelin stars) had to accept defeat.

In the category "Best Printing of Cookbook", our book won the first place and confirmed that the chef-photo-design team of CUBO restaurant and Gorenjski tisk printing house are partners of the top world class.

The book "CUBO desserts" also won on the Cordon Bleu competition in Australia in 2010.

The latest awards for both books were reddot design awards at the end of 2010.

Is this all? We are convinced that it is not. And we will make another book in the future. We promise.
